MyMobileLyfe survey: Methods of sharing content
That little icon on Web pages inviting users to share the content may appear to be a convenience, but when it comes to sharing smartphone owners are more likely to do it through social media.
That’s what My Mobile Lyfe found out when it asked 99 adults 18 and up in a survey asking what influences them the most when it comes to sharing content on their smartphone with others.
The survey revealed that 37 percent of smartphone owners said their most preferred method of sharing content on their devices is through social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. Another 32 percent prefer to share their content through email, and 24 percent prefer to use text alerts.
And that little “share” icon? Only 6 percent of the respondents prefer to use the share buttons on the Web site itself.
Your brand’s content must be portable and adaptable, because smartphone owners will share your content with users on many different screens. That, in turn, translates into many potential leads and customers.
